Raze the Dead is an action-adventure Multi-User Domain (MUD); a text-based game based on the premise of a zombie apocalypse. All interaction with the game is done entirely through a text interface not entirely unlike command-prompt based operating systems like DOS and UNIX. It is also highly reminiscent of text-based games such as Zork.
Connecting to the game is typically done through a modern interface client such as Zmud, MUSHclient, TinTin++, Putty, etc. To connect to the game will require a host name (avpmud.com) and a port (5000). Alternatively if you cannot get a connection to the game using the host name you can use the game's IP address (70.85.16.15:5000).
Once connected to the game you will have to choose a name and password for your character, then enter the game from the in-game menu. The game world is divided into arbitrary units of volume called "rooms" and your character can move from room to room via directional commands (north, east, south, west, up, down). Rooms contain objects to interact with and Non-Player Characters (NPCs) such as other human survivors or zombies.
The purpose of the game is to kill zombies. When you're done killing zombies, kill more zombies. When you get tired of killing more zombies, quit complaining and keep killing zombies.
If you have questions, or for more gameplay information, make a user account on the game forums and browse them for information or post questions.
